Installation, embroidery (variable dimensions), 2022

Embroidery is a craft that has taken collective and individual forms of practice. The simple gesture of a needle sewing through cloth had formed identities for cultures and regions throughout history. It is considered to be a feminine activity. In addition to the social and historical aspects of making embroideries, it is also a technique to cover up, to maintain and renovate. The artist uses it as a medium to revive the last words of -mostly- women whose executions were miscarriage of justice, between the past and the present.
