I Don't Know the Word in English
Interactive installation, 2 earphones, 10 cards, 2022
An interactive installation that is based on a series of one to one conversations between the artist and people of different nationalities and generations living in Switzerland. The cards displayed in the exhibition served as a starting point for the conversations, while drinking local herbal tea. The conversations were carried out in the English language, questioning to what extent we can express ourselves in a globalized language, while talking about mutual themes. Moreover, the project promotes caring during the pandemic, detachment from the digital sphere, and highlights the influence of visuals, text, private and public spaces in triggering conversations.
