She’s zoning (temporary territoriality)

2021, installation (6 x 6 m) and lecture (15'), sheets, curtains, tarp, silkscreens, overhead projectors, cut-outs, plexiglass, clear plastic films, mold, spider webs, file cabinet

She’s zoning (temporary territoriality) is a three-dimensional display delimiting the outlines of a territory through language. It orchestrates the juxtaposition and layering of surfaces, fragments, folds and narratives in a play of light and shadow. A selection of words and chosen visuals unfolds in space and time, constantly forming and (re)formulating the routes taken, questioning the words, their use(s), definitions and interrelations. The installation is accompanied by a reading and an unedited version of my thesis. During the exhibition, I will appear daily on a random schedule to manipulate the projection device and zone around.
